I was recently employed by a video rental store that does not offer online mail rentals, and in some of the paperwork that I signed, it said that I would not work for any other competitor while I was employed with them or one year after leaving that company. This job requires actually being in the store and renting out movies to customers. Technically I haven’t started training yet.

Anyway, since I’ve been looking for work, I’ve applied at many different places. A temp agency just found me a job to work in a warehouse for an online movie rental company. They only deal in online mail movie rentals and have no stores for customers to come by and rent movies like the place I am currently employed at. At this job I would only be receiving returned rentals through the mail and shipping off new rentals. Technically I would be employed by the temp agency until and if this company decides to hire me, since I am labelled temp-to-hire.

These two companies are in the same industry—Any problems?

I lost my birth control pills. I went to the dotor on thursday, I got my prescription, and i bought the pills. I stopped by walmart, picked up some light bulbs and i went home. I got the mail, and i found some gift certificates (3 free movie rentals), and guess what I left the house to get the movies. Not sure thou if it was before or after than when I opened my pills and i set them on the table. anyways. I KINDA remember that i put them on the table OR in my purse. I can visualize both situations…??..so i remembered about them the next morning and they were nowhere to be found. already 4 days since then and they still haven’t shown up. I went back to hollywood video to check if I dropped them there but didn’t find them. the questions is how can I get a new box if I can’t refill untill next month.

Star Receives Nation’s First Celebrity VIP Membership During BLOCKBUSTER Total Access Launch; New Program Combines the Best of Online and In-Store Rentals

Blockbuster Inc. hosts a kickoff event in Hollywood with celebrity Jessica Simpson to announce BLOCKBUSTER Total Access, a movie rental program that gives online customers the option of returning their DVDs through the mail or exchanging them at more than 5,000 participating BLOCKBUSTER® stores for free in-store movie rentals. For each online rental exchanged in the store, customers can receive a free in-store movie rental, essentially allowing them to double the number of movies they can access each month. Simpson was presented with the first celebrity VIP BLOCKBUSTER Total Access membership and shared her top 5 favorite movie rentals. With BLOCKBUSTER Total Access customers can benefit from faster shipping cycles. The store check-in process automatically initiates shipping the next available movie in the subscriber’s rental queue, so subscribers will generally get their movies a day faster than if they returned them in the mail.
