DVD movie rentals via the mail have become increasingly popular over the last few years. As you’ve probably noticed there are many companies that offer this service. There are many people who can benefit from taking advantage of movie rentals by mail. The elderly, disabled and parents of small children often find it either near impossible or near improbably to leave the house for the movie store. For the individual who finds getting around and running errands a chore, receiving DVD movie rental through the mail is a welcome relief.

The advantage of DVD movie rental services continues past convenience. Paying a straight monthly fee can be easier on the pocket book too. Companies such as Netflix do not charge late fees. Since there is no “due date” you return your movie after you’ve finished with it. However, you won’t get the next movie until the DVD out is returned. The faster you return your movies, the more you get for your money.

Traditional store front DVD rental services, such as Blockbuster, are even offering online services. A big advantage of utilizing their services is that you will get a coupon for a free in-store DVD movie rental. This is in addition to the movies you receive in the mail and allows you to get your hands on the movie you just “have to see” right then and there!

A few basic requirements such as an accepted mailing address and a credit or debit card are needed in order to join a DVD movie rental company.

With all the advantages that companies such as Netflix, Quickflicks, Intelliflix and Cafe DVD offer, it’s easy to miss the drawbacks. With a DVD movie rental service you must decide not only what you want to watch, but when. If you’re itching to settle down to that little romance you signed up for, but you’ve requested it for a later date, you’re out of luck. You get the movie you choose when the online rental company has it available.

It’s relatively easy to order movies once you decide to sign with a DVD rental company. Just scroll through their movie index and pick the ones you want to watch. A common option is the ability for you to prioritize which flick you’d like to view first. Unfortunately you don’t get the option to choose when your videos are sent to you from the DVD movie rental company.

Summary:

Many Traditional and exclusively online companies offer mail order DVD movie rental services. Online movie rental services offer advantages that a local video store just can’t. No need to bother going out to rent a video or worrying about late fees. Also, the faster you watch your movie and return it, the more movies you can watch each month and the more bang you get for your buck!

Why most Americans rent movies today – how you can save money on movie rentals online. Rent movies online and save yourself time and money if renting on a monthly basis.

So how do you think most Americans entertain themselves these days? Some of the most celebrated weekend activities include shopping, going to the movies renting movies or having dinner with friends. When it comes to daily entertainment, many people enjoy their spare time and low cost of recreational choices like viewing television, playing video games, and renting movies online.

Why Rent Movies?

People rent movies for many incomparable reasons. One of the most popular departments at your local video store is the new movie releases section. This is where people go to find the most recent films available. It’s a good way to catch up on all the flicks you missed in the theater. It’s also a magnificent way to save money. Before watching a movie at the theaters, many people decide to wait for it to come out on DVD. Several films are ready for rent within months of their theatrical debut.

Some people rent titles to preview them for their DVD collections. While the cost of DVDs has declined in recent years, most people still don’t want to add a movie to their compilation until they know that they enjoy the movie and will watch it again. A DVD rental club is often the best choice for movie buffs. Normally these clubs offer incentives for people who rent DVDs several times a month.

Whether you’re a cinema buff, or just rent movies on occasions, there are many excellent video stores and websites devoted to serving you. The local store is an excellent choice for last minute rentals. The online services are also a great way of renting without the hassles of traveling. They also offer very competitive prices if you rent more than a few times a month. With a little bit of planning you’ll always have a reserve of quality DVDs. There are no late fees, no shipping fees, and at just $20 a month, these sites pay for themselves after just three or four rentals. Netflix, Blockbuster Online, and Intelliflix are just a few in the business that can be worth their weight in gold in the long run.

I love watching movies. Not just new releases but also old classics. And the type of movie I would like to watch (comedy, drama, fiction etc) depends on my mood and keeps changing with it. Initially, I used to rent DVDs from the DVD rental library near my house. But it was somehow frustrating as most of the time the film I was looking for was not available, or the DVD was already given out to another member.

And by the time that DVD would arrive the next day, my mood had already changed and I wanted to watch something else! Even after paying exorbitant membership fees, I was still not happy. A lot of times the DVD would have some scratches or other defects as it is being passed through so many people.

To add to all this, there were time limits. I had to ensure I am there before the store closes and that I return the DVD the very next day to avoid late charges. That meant shuffling my entire schedule according to the rental library timings.

At that time the concept of movie downloads had not yet emerged. Downloading movies online is a concept that has taken birth recently as is in its infancy, though it is catching up real fast. If you go to see, there are lots of sites available for music downloads. But when it comes to downloading movies, that too DVD quality movies, there are very few sites catering to it. When I heard about http://www.movies-download-here.com online, I was so excited that I immediately logged on the net to check it out.

That is when I realized the sites offering movie downloads are quite limited. However, they are mushrooming fast as the demand is really high. But still, I had to choose the best out of the available ones.

I was very clear in my head as to what features I wanted, or rather, the ones I did not want. Thanks to my DVD rental experience. I definitely was looking for

- A large collection to choose from

- Fast download speed

- No time limits. Facility to download anytime, anyday from anywhere

- The quality of the movie should be as good as the DVD

- Reliable site, so that I am saved from all the viruses and spyware

- Software that would also allow me to download the movies to my Ipod apart from giving me the options to watch it either on my computer, home theater or MP3 .

- Unlimited downloading facility

After much research, I found a few good sites online. These site allows me access to more than 80 million DVD quality movies of all genre! It has various options of membership to choose from. Moreover its membership is time based. So, if I become a member for a year, I can download any number of movies during that period. Its fast, its easy and its convenient http://www.movies-download-here.com offers the top movie download sites.

And yes, It offers software to burn it on a CD, or download it on my iPod. And in case of any help, there is a 24*7 customer support available… What more could I ask for….

Goodbye to DVD rentals!

Online DVD rentals are more popular than they ever have been, and are getting more popular by the day. For as low as five dollars or an average of about twenty dollars a month you can rent movies that will be sent to you in the mail a day or two, and when finished watching these at your own pace simply send the movies back in a prepaid envelope provide when you receive the movie. It has become really easy and convenient for people who don’t have the time or lack the patience for another Friday night trip to the movie rental store where they may or may not have the movie you want to rent. You also don’t have to stand in line after choosing your movies waiting to checkout so you can go home and relax.

The online movie rental companies will provide you with a queue which you can fill with literally hundreds of movie titles so that when you send the movies back you don’t have to pick out which movies you want to watch, They will already be in your queue. They also have a new release page so you can keep up with the latest new releases.

Obviously online DVD rentals are easy, there are a couple of drawbacks, for instance every once in great while a movie will get lost or broken while being shipped post office. When this happens there is an option to let the rental company know and they will send you a replacement the same or next day.

There are three major Online DVD rental companies Blockbuster, Netflix, and Intelliflix. I am current member of all three, what can I say I like movies, but no matter what you have heard all online movie rental companies are not created equally. Both Blockbuster and Netflix have served me well, and I would not hesitate to recommend either one to anybody.

Intelliflix, well that is another story altogether. I joined Intelliflix because I read on a review site how they where just as good as everybody else and I could save a lot of money by purchasing the annual prepaid plan for $188. That turned out to be an expensive lesson for me, the first few months where fine, it took three to four days to get movies but they where less expensive than the competition. Two months after my purchase the movies stopped coming. I went sixty days with over a hundred movies I wanted to see in my queue, without receiving a single movie. Constant complaints to their customer service department did not accomplish anything, but they did extend my membership a few weeks! They also refused to issue a refund for their annual plans. I even emailed the president of the company, without results or even a response.

So take note of and learn from my mistakes and do not subscribe to an annual plan. My honest recommendation it to pick an online movie rental company with a trial period and see if their service meets your needs, and you enjoy the service. If their DVD’s are delivered in a quickly and efficiently, and the selection of movies available for rental are enough to make the monthly fee worth it for you.

Christine Peppler asked:

For countless years, consumers would wander into the local video store in search of movies to take home. For some, selecting a movie was a process which often ended in disappointment. Guided by the words of a handful of movie critics or a paragraph written on the film covers sitting on display, there was uncertainty unless the selection was based on movies the viewer had already seen at the theaters or on television.

For others, the local video store seldom offered the selection that they craved. These viewers knew what they wanted; from indie films or anime to spiritual based offerings or Sci-Fi, but with a total selection of 10,000 to 15,000 titles the likelihood of finding a movie suited to their tastes each week was remote.

For movie fans there had to be a better way; a way to have a broader selection and a method of discovering movies that had the potential of becoming favorites.

Then in 1999, Netflix rolled out their online movie rental subscription service and movie selection has never been the same. Without the constraints of walls and floor space, an online movie rental service is capable of offering any DVD made. For Netflix customers, this translates into over 70,000 titles to choose from among hundreds of genres and subcategories of films.

With online movie rental the choices suddenly expanded from basic drama, comedy, action, and Sci-Fi to selections as specific as British Comedy, Russian Foreign Films, African-American Documentaries, Latin Pop, or Belly Dancing. Whether a viewer simply wants to experiment and expand their horizons or knows exactly what they want, the Netflix library should offer much greater satisfaction.

With the vast selection however, comes a tough choice for those who don’t spend their time staying in-the-know about every new movie release. Here is where some of the true advantages to the Netflix online movie rental service come in to play.

As customers view movies with Netflix, they provide ratings/reviews online. Users can add Friends with similar tastes as well as refer to critics reviews. With a database that is currently 1.5 billion reviews strong, there are good statistics to guide users in making their movie selections. The Netflix online movie service will also guide users by examining their own rental and review history to predict what other choices will be to their liking.

Certainly, the options for movie fans have expanded with the introduction of online movie rental services. With a vastly expanded selection of films and services to assist users in discovering movies they never even knew they wanted, Netflix has moved consumers on to the next level of home entertainment.

It’s a pure pleasure to be able to do everything from home. The Internet allows us to shop, advertise, promote, make friends, etc. It also allows us through companies such as Satellite TV for PC to watch endless channels for one-off payment.

Everyone may not benefit from such entertainment packages. Someone may be more of a movie lover than a channel hopper. To cater to such people there are some fantastic free movie download websites which can be utilized at great leisure.

Movie websites are very convenient. You need not go down to movie rental store. You can just go online and download the movie of your choice. Unlike rental store, you don’t have to pay every time you login because these downloads are free. These websites are fast too. So, with a few clicks you can simply download a movie to watch in the evening without any problem.

Several movie download sites also offer free CD/DVD burner software with user friendly instructions. This is a priceless convenience if you are taking the movie to a friend’s house. It avoids you to cart your laptop to and fro. Such simple extras will surely get weight off your shoulders.

You need not be bothered by the opening and closing times of rental stores anymore. No more last minute rushing to get the CD/DVD returned to avoid hefty penalties! Generally overdue charges are very harsh.

Download sites offer a lifetime membership model where you can gain access to virtually unlimited movie downloads. There is another model where you pay per movie download cost.

A lot of people are concerned about whether these movie sites are legitimate and legal and whether they are more of a nuisance. Most of the sites offer free spy-ware and ad-ware software and guarantee no pop-ups. They provide secure downloading and protection against any viral attacks. Many of the sites have legal agreements. So, you need not worry about their legality while downloading. These are safe unlike PSP networks.

Most of the sites have a very good customer service base. So, if you have any problems you can take up with the latter. They offer round-the-clock support and they respond very quickly.

Video game rental is the single best way to try video games before you buy. With many game prices starting at $30 and going as high as $50 and even higher, paying such high prices for video games that might be less than what you expected can be just too big a gamble.

While it’s true that gamers can view “walkthroughs” screen shots online, and other online game samples are available to take a look at how a game works, there is nothing like actual hands on playing to find out whether it’s something you will love, like or hate.

Just like movie rentals, video games are available to rent from many or most movie rental companies, along with some game stores and online as well. The big problem with renting form a local store, though, is that they rarely have a good selection, and it can be very expensive.

As a result, being able to rent video game online is making a big splash. Video game rental is the ultimate in convenience and cost savings. Especially with games for new game platforms exceeding $50, renting games can be a good alternative. Video game rental means you don’t have to buy a game for $30 or more, but you can try games before buying to make sure it’s a game you want to keep. Just like services like NetFlix or Blockbuster’s movie service through the mail, game rental companies are springing up too.

For teens and older gamers, trying before buying can keep from spending hard-earned money on games that turn out to be duds. Gamers can try nearly every game that’s on the market. And many video game rental companies let you keep the game you want to buy at a discount.

The companies that let you rent video game online have incredible selections of games, and have them for every platform on the market – handheld game systems like the Game Boy or Nintendo DS, through GameCube, and the high end too like Xbox, Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. For gamers that have multiple game systems, such as console as well as handheld, it helps to be able to choose games for short rental periods when going on vacation for example. For the games you want to rent, you can add them to a “queue” or list, and when one is returned, the next one is sent out.

But best of all, many game services offer credits that add up as you continue your subscription. These credits can be applied toward buying games. When you find a game you like, you can usually just keep it and they will send you the box and inserts, with free shipping. In just one sample of purchase pricing, a game that retails for $50 could be purchased for $27 after applying credits and discounts – a really great deal all around!

Video game rental is a great way to try out games before spending the ever-higher prices to buy them, and can even let you purchase a game at a discount. Many online video rental companies offer a free trial – it’s worth it to see if it is right for you.
